{"id":2843317,"date":"2024-06-26T10:54:56","date_gmt":"2024-06-26T15:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onthinktanks.org\/?post_type=initiative&#038;p=2843317"},"modified":"2025-06-08T12:13:30","modified_gmt":"2025-06-08T17:13:30","slug":"building-for-the-future-initiative","status":"publish","type":"initiative","link":"https:\/\/onthinktanks.org\/initiative\/building-for-the-future-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Building for the Future Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Student-led think tanks<\/h1>\n<p>OTT is working with <a href=index-1424.html>student-led think tanks<\/a> across Europe through three cycles between 2023 and 2026, offering them a grant to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Organise multi-regional events on key European policy issues,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Join the <a href=index-1425.html>School for Thinktankers<\/a>, and<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Participate in the <a href=index-1426.html>OTT Conference<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This initiative offers student-led think tanks a unique chance to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Actively contribute to shaping policy discussions on a global stage.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen their networks by connecting with peers and global think tank leaders.<\/li>\n<li>Access the OTT School for Thinktankers, providing valuable insights and support.<\/li>\n<li>Showcase their perspectives at an international conference, fostering cross-cultural dialogue.<\/li>\n<li>Promote inclusivity by encouraging consideration of diverse opinions and experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Publish and disseminate ideas and findings through publications, contributing to knowledge exchange.<\/li>\n<li>Position their organisations as leaders in the field by sharing valuable and relevant insights.<\/li>\n<li>Develop empathetic skills by understanding the perspectives of other stakeholders or affected groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Grant cycles<\/h2>\n<p>The initiative started in November 2023 and will end in October 2026.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=index-1427.html>Cycle 1: November 2023 &#8211; October 2024<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=index-1428.html>Cycle 2: November 2024 &#8211; October 2025<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Cycle 3: November 2025 &#8211; October 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Join and support the initiative<\/h2>\n<p>Our intention is to reach as many student-led think tanks as possible. Student-led think tanks are a perfect training ground for the next generation of thinktankers.
